About

Learn more about the background, inspirations, and experiences that shape my creative and scientific work.

Growing up in Germany surrounded by forests, open landscapes, books, and storytelling shaped my early connection to nature, curiosity, and exploration. That fascination with both the natural world and imaginative storytelling continues to influence the way I approach creativity and communication today.

I work at the intersection of science communication, illustration, and visual storytelling. My background in biology and environmental research continues to shape the way I approach creative work - with curiosity, attention to detail, and a desire to make complex ideas more engaging and accessible.

Why visuals matter to me

Over the past years, I have worked across a wide range of scientific and interdisciplinary projects, particularly within Arctic and marine environments. Through this work, I became increasingly aware of how difficult it can be to communicate scientific knowledge beyond academic spaces. Visual storytelling offers a way to bridge that gap - transforming information into experiences that invite curiosity, understanding, and connection.

My creative work combines educational illustration, infographics, science-inspired visuals, and atmospheric storytelling elements. I am especially interested in projects that encourage exploration, imagination, and learning, whether through outreach materials, educational content, or visually driven narratives.

Personal inspiration

Beyond work, I continue to find inspiration through music, hiking, diving, horseback riding, and experiencing different landscapes, cultures, and environments. I value the exchange of perspectives, ideas, and ways of seeing the world, and I see learning as an ongoing and mutual process shaped through curiosity, exploration, and connection.
